Biblio/poetry therapy mentoring including therapeutic writing, consulting and training. Facilitator of writing workshops to prepare for your best death.
About Me
My name is Ingrid Tegnér and the practice of writing in a journal started for me when I was a young teenager. I needed a place then, to process my feelings and clarify my thoughts. Writing has always helped me make better decisions and find balance, especially during times of transition or stressful life situations.
I discovered the world of biblio/poetry therapy and the National Association Poetry Therapy in the early 1990s. Finding others doing this work brought more creativity and playfulness to my own writing. After poetry therapy training for two years, I went on to attain a Masters of Social Work and wove poetry into my social work practice. Later, wanting to teach others how to do this soul enriching work, I became a certified mentor. This training was built upon and backed by the standards of the International Federation of Biblo/Poetry. An organization that I have served over the years as a board member in different capacities.
Since retiring from social work, I use these specialized group facilitation skills in my coaching practice. I am a lifelong learner and poetry therapy always provides new ideas to master, absorb and digest. I now make time to artistically explore the connections between the personal self and the cosmic self through ceramics, encaustic painting and handmade paper.
I reconnected with my Swedish/Norwegian heritage through traveling and living in the Nordic countries. I was able to live in both Uppsala and Stockholm and today, I continue to stay fluent in Swedish.
My greatest joy comes from helping others remember and reconnect with their deepest creative impulse and energy. We are all born with this creative essence though it may need to be encouraged and brought forth to enliven that spark within. It is this core element we draw upon when we need resilience and re-creation.

Prepare for Your Best Death
If you live long enough, you will experience the loss of those you love. Like birth, death is common occurrences we will all undergo. Many people find it hard to discuss their own death or the death of loved ones. Making the necessary arrangements will free up your energy to be more present to your friends and family. As a licensed Willow End of Life Educator, I facilitate heart-centered workshops virtually or in person that are holistic and authentic. Join us for a fun, thought-provoking workshop with like-minded souls.
